We offer a specialised, eco-friendly alternative to extermination. Instead of using harmful chemicals, we perform a live extractionto save the colony and protect your property from the long-term damage of an abandoned hive.
1. On-Site Assessment & Thermal Imaging
Every removal begins with a thorough inspection. We don't just guess where the bees are; we use advanced tools like thermal imaging cameras to detect the heat signature of the hive through walls, ceilings, or floors. This allows us to be as non-invasive as possible when accessing the colony.
2. Precision Live Extraction (The "Cut-Out")
For bees settled inside structures, we perform a structural cut-out. This involves:
- Safe Access: Carefully opening a small section of the wall or roof.
- Gentle Capture: Using a specialised bee vacuum (B-Vac) with adjustable suction to safely collect the adult bees without harming their delicate exoskeletons.
- Comb Salvage: Carefully cutting out the honeycomb and brood (larvae). We then "band" this original comb into standard wooden frames so the bees have their own familiar home when they move.
3. Finding the Queen
The key to a successful relocation is the Queen Bee. Once she is safely secured in a queen clip and placed in the new hive box, the rest of the colony naturally follows her scent, ensuring the entire family stays together.
4. Complete Hive Cleanup
Simply removing the bees isn't enough. If honey and wax are left behind, they can melt, cause structural rot, or attract other pests like ants and rodents. We ensure all comb and honey stores are removed and the cavity is cleaned to prevent future swarms from being attracted to the "scent" of the old hive.
5. Relocation to a Managed Apiary
Once captured, the bees are transported to a secure apiary. They are rehoused in a standard beehive where they can thrive, pollinate local gardens, and contribute to the environment as a healthy, managed colony.
